Following investigations into an admission racket regarding MBBS and other medical PG courses, the Delhi Police Crime Branch has identified over 200 pass outs and other doctors for their involvement. Fake candidates and impersonators, charging lakhs of rupees and their accomplices – who helped to crack the entrance examination – are also identified. These medical degree holders also impersonated the candidates in the medical entrance test. Those involved had contacts with prominent academics like registrars, directors, college staff and professors who helped dummy candidates during biometric checks and cross-checks on the identity of candidates.
A senior investigating officer commented that, “This racket was running for several years and involved huge sums of money. The crime branch suspects that over Rs 500-600 crore have been collected from over thousands of students. Those involved…
