A 23-year-old male was brought to the ED in an unconscious and unresponsive state for 15 minutes. On examination, the patient appeared to be cyanosed with a non-recordable pulse and blood pressure. Despite providing the CPR as per the ACLS protocol, the patient could not be revived and was declared dead. The patient’s mother reported that she had massaged the left calf region of her son for 30 minutes as he was complaining of pain.
Immediately after the massage, her son experienced breathlessness and palpitation and suddenly collapsed.
