I am a recovering hemiplegic(due to clot on mca-r).I suffered from two episodes of siezures in early phase.It is more than 8 yrs. since last episode.I am on 300mg.Phenytoin daily.My Physcian is of the opinion that as I have been seizure free for 8 yrs.
Phenytoin can be stopped,but Neurologist says, as their is organic damage in brain I should continue with Phenytoin.What is the correct view in this regard. Another matter, for how long after stroke,synergy & startle reflex persist.
