Highlights: · With the paucity of drugs for COVID-19, various existing drugs are being repurposed for treatment. The safety and efficacy of the drug favipiravir against COVID-19 has been established and it is approved for the treatment of mild to moderate COVID-19 infections in many countries, including India. · This case study demonstrates the successful management of COVID-19 in an elderly patient with multiple comorbidities.
