The US FDA has recently approved the first-ever medical device used for the treatment of attention deficit trigeminal hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The device utilizes the external Trigeminal Nerve Stimulation (eTNS) system as a therapy for ADHD. It is indicated for children between 7 to 12 years of age who are not getting ADHD medications. It is a first non-drug option that utilizes mild nerve stimulation thereby taking down the symptoms associated with ADHD such as struggle in concentrating, inattention, difficulty in controlling feelings, and hyperactivity.
