Recently, after a detailed review of the information gathered from literature and real-life evidence, US Food and Drug Association (FDA) issued a warning against the use of unapproved pain medications in intraspinal and intrathecal drug delivery systems. Moreover, the findings revealed that some healthcare professionals prefer using unapproved medications in such implanter pain pumps to avoid unwanted side effects of approved drugs and provide stronger pain relief.
