The “Great Indian Drug Ban”, has struck down several combination formulations which many doctors regularly prescribe. We received several reactions which questioned some antidiabetic fixed dose combinations on the list. Hence, we find it really important that our eminent doctors get appropriate information regarding efficacy and side effects of these drugs, separately and in combination. The recent hammer from the Indian government has brought down 344 fixed dose combinations off the shelves from the pharmacies.

Though the courts have put a temporary stay on this notification, experts are suggesting that this ban is here to stay for a good.
