Recently, I have read the views of some of the doctors on this Forum expressing their apprehension about the future of the general practitioners in our present healthcare system, taking into consideration several factors that exist today.They felt that the era of GPs has ended now due to the stiff competition they are facing with the growing number of specialists and quacks who are blocking their way It seems they have over predicted this assumption. The role of the GPs will never fade, deteriorate or lose its lustre at any time. It will be evergreen and shining for all the times to come.
