Globally, diabetes incidences are rising as well the diabetic foot complications. Diabetic foot complications are neglected in majority of Asian and African countries. Diabetic lower limb is affected by infectious disease like cellulitis, abscesses of leg, and necrotizing fasciitis, etc. There are very few research studies on these diseases, particularly in many developing countries, including India.
In this publication synopsis, the author has a presented a new staging system for cellulitis in diabetic lower limb. The estimated diabetic population globally is 200 million and it is likely to increase to 333 million people by 2025. With increasing incidences in diabetic population, foot complications will undoubtedly become a growing problem.
