In yet another case of running a private hospital allegedly, the Nashik police have registered a case against civil hospital gynecologist on Saturday night. The state health department had carried out two separate investigations to verify allegations against the doctor. The doctor has been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code including forgery, cheating, furnishing false information and other sections of the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act, violation of Drugs and Cosmetics Act and Bombay Nursing Homes Registration Act.
Senior Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) medical official in his complaint stated that, “The gynecologist was running a private hospital named 'Prayag' by forging documents.
