Novo Nordisk is facing claims of a significant cybersecurity breach after a hacking group alleged that it gained access to the company's network and stole more than 1.3 TB of sensitive information. The group claims it remained inside Novo Nordisk's systems for over two months before extracting data that includes clinical trial records, source code, proprietary information related to marketed and investigational medicines, and personal information linked to employees, physicians, and patients. The hacking group, FulcrumSec, stated that it sought a $25 million payment from the pharmaceutical company in exchange for not releasing the information.
