The Health Ministry of Central Government has released a draft called as “Charter of patient rights” prepared by National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) or in a simple word what a patient should do and do not while taking treatment from doctor or hospital. The draft has been kept in public domain for comments and suggestions for a period of 30 days before it is being changed into the act.

The ministry plans to implement the charter through state governments too as for the provision of proper health care to patients by clinical establishments or hospitals or even a clinic of a doctor.
