The Union Health Ministry will soon be regulating prices of medical devices and implants. Prices of almost 400 medical medicines will be reduced by 50%. This would also include BP machines, CT and MRI machines. Further, the center also plans to amend the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. The health ministry officials said, “As of now, there are various types of medical implants that are out of regulation. Once it is done, the government will have the authority to check the prices and quality.
