Case presentation A 26-year-old female was referred by her orthognathic surgeon for orthodontic treatment and oral rehabilitation as she did not like her face, gummy smile, and crowded teeth. The patient desired straight teeth, a rounder face, and a less pronounced chin. Physical manifestations The patient had Class II malocclusion on a Class III skeletal base with a prognathic mandible Increased facial proportions Facial asymmetry Intraoral manifestations The patient had localized crowding in the upper and lower arches She had a 9 mm deep bite. Anterior and bilateral scissors bite with functional disturbances was observed.
