In the wake of major nCoV outbreak worldwide, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has announced that 10 laboratories under the Indian Council of Medical Research’s Viral Research including the National Institute of Virology in Pune are all set to test samples of the deadly virus strains. MoHFW has instructed the diagnostic laboratories to be equipped to test the samples if the case arises.

The Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme has issued an advisory to all states and union territories to keep a check on any travel-related suspected cases in the community.
