The sweet part of the Amendment is welcomed with open arms as it raises the limit of Abortions to 24 weeks vis a vis 20 weeks which was earlier.
This comes as a relief to hundreds of women who were forced to continue their pregnancies in cases of anomalous fetuses just because the diagnosis happened after the legal limits of termination. This is indeed the need of the hour, because many anomalies cannot be seen early and become obvious only after the 20 weeks.
