As there is window period for the detection of antibodies or serum examination in HIV say for 6 months. What all investigations may be carried out in order to detect a virus or viral load within the window period that is before 6 months? Is PCR test helpful?

If yes when is the best time to do? and what's the sensitivity and specificity? Kindly give your views.
