Highlights ·       In diabetes, hypertension is a common comorbidity and is considered a strong risk factor for cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and microvascular complications.1 ·       The American Diabetes Association (ADA), American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association (ACC/AHA), and European Society of Cardiology/European Society of Hypertension (ESC/ESH) have provided comprehensive guidelines on the assessment and treatment of hypertension in patients with diabetes. ·       This article summarizes the latest guideline recommendations for the management of hypertension in diabetes.
