In India, staggering number of patients i.e. 200 million patients are hypertensive, but the control of this condition is very poor. Thus, the Union Health Ministry is going to launch the ‘India Hypertension Management Initiative’ (IHMI) to tackle the hypertension-associated disorders. This initiative will be launched in 25 districts to improve active screening and to intensify the hypertension treatment.
