One day old infant was observed to have nonbilious vomiting, choking after feeding, and abdominal distention with no meconium. The infant had been born at a gestational age of 35 weeks after spontaneous rupture of membranes. He was weighing 2900gm at birth. Physical examination revealed no defect, and breast feeding was initiated at 6 hours after birth, in small amounts.
