Case presentation A 26-year-old male presented to the emergency department with an isolated spinal injury. He had sustained the injury in a high-speed vehicle collision. Investigations Physical examination dismissed the possibility of any sensorineural deficit. A rectal examination revealed a normal tone. However, a reflex examination revealed the presence of bilateral clonus.
Radiology examination The findings of a computed tomography scan and magnetic resonance imaging are shown in the cover image. Treatment The patient was hospitalized and given a Foleyβs catheter.
