Women with a long history of uncontrolled diabetes begin pregnancy  that poses additional challenges for the patient and the healthcare team. Continuous glucose monitoring  (CGM) has a promising role in clarifying glucose metabolism in pregnancy, promoting optimized management, and improving outcomes for mother and infant. Here is the case scenario : A 32-year-old woman married since 5 years visited the clinic with 6 weeks amenorrhea with history of Type 2 diabetes since 4 years on T. Metformin 1000 mg and Glimepiride 2 mg. She has strong family history of diabetes.

She had not received any preconception counseling and it was an unplanned pregnancy.
