Following recent amendments by NMC in the medical entrance exams for admission in UG and PG courses, the IMA has conveyed their dissatisfaction upon the decision and have urged the commission to consult all the stakeholders before finalizing upon the rules. Amidst the ongoing tensions between the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and the National Medical Commission (NMC), the IMA has recently opposed the NMC’s move to set the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and National Exit Test (NEXT) as the sole entrance exams for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and post-graduate (PG) medical courses, respectively .
