The IMA mandated that certain states are free to have their own act for medical establishments and that the doctors are optimistic that the government would form its own law. The Clinical Establishment Act which has previously imposed stricter set of rules in healthcare is all set to get reformed. With the fact that stringent provisions and regulations in the new Clinical Establishment Act could shut down nearly 70% of small and medium clinics in the state , the Indian Medical Association (IMA) reassured that in the states like Maharashtra and Punjab, there would be no implementation of the Act in its present draft form.
