Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Gabbar is Back' has run into a controversy with the medical fraternity from across the country fuming that the film depicts a "derogatory" image of doctors and has the potential to even instigate violence against them. IMA will send a legal notice to Gabbar is Back producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali and actor Akshay Kumar for showing the medical profession in “poor light”. “We have drafted the notice already. It will be sent to the producer and actor tomorrow,” said Dr K K Aggarwal, Honourary General Secretary, Indian Medical Association.
“Even though it is fiction, such poor portrayal will lead to trust deficit between patients and the medical fraternity. We stand together against such derogatory portrayal,” said Dr Aggarwal.
