Over 60,000 children under five years of age die every year in India from vaccine-preventable diseases. According to a recent report, India is one of the largest producers and exporters of vaccines. However, it has one of the highest preventable childhood mortality rates compared to any country in the world.
Immunisation experts around the world agree that simply by vaccinating children on time, India can influence community health and promote optimal child development globally.
