Oncologists participating in a media roundtable organized by the Indian Cancer Society (ICS) called for India to develop a comprehensive national strategy to improve patient access to new and innovative cancer therapies. Although advancements such as targeted therapies, immunotherapies, and precision medicine have transformed cancer treatment globally, access to these therapies remains limited for many patients in India due to affordability challenges, uneven healthcare infrastructure, delayed diagnosis, and disparities in treatment availability.
