A team of Indian doctors at Hyderabad performed a total femur replacement (TFR) surgery on a young patient who was suffering from Enneking Stage IIB Osteosarcoma of the femur. The 25-year-old patient had presented with complaints of massive swelling and excruciating pain in the left thigh for over 10 months, which made him unable to move. In due course, it impacted his daily routine wherein he reached a stage of immobility. This eventually led to losing appetite and rapid weight loss.

Due to such difficulties, complex surgery was performed. Furthermore, the onco-surgeon who treated the patient mentioned that he has recovered well and was able to stand and walk without support. Reference : Uniindia
