Androgenic alopecia is a hair loss in specific patterns depending on circulating androgen in genetically susceptible men and women with different phenotype indications. A metabolic syndrome is a group of metabolic disorders such as glucose intolerance, insulin resistance (IR), central obesity, dyslipidemia, and hypertension. This publication synopsis highlights on results of the study carried out to investigate the relationship between androgen alopecia and metabolic syndrome. Androgenic alopecia (AGA) is a specific pattern hair loss which depends on circulating androgen in genetically predisposed men and women.
