It is a headline in a medical newspaper which is an insult to the medical profession. Gone are the days when doctors were equated to God. People called doctors fraud due to their own reasons and sometimes, these are genuine also. Doctors are blessed with the power of giving fitness for a new entry in service, for giving statements in medicolegal cases and for evading prison for prisoners. Detection of misuse of this special power by doctors is sufficient to defame medical profession.
In one such case, supreme court imposed a fine of Rs.1.4 crore on two doctors for providing medical asylum to a political person.
