Many doctors and even hospitals have been seen to be sharing patient details in the form of face recognition in pictures/ video formats on various social networking sites. You tube appears to be the most popular for the self publicity propaganda. Others like Facebook makes a person/ hospital more LIKED by colleagues and friends. It has been seen that there is quite a good discussion over several hours amongst members of a group of messanger services like watsapp over pictures and videos related to a patient's description.
Does Indian patient has no right of confidentiality or these SHARERS/DISCUSSERS are marketeers rather than doctors? Discussion is a useful tool for spreading knowledge and experience but should never involve identification of the subject. What's your take?
