With the recent case of a patient who due to his fractured right leg, admitted in a hospital at Delhi. A surgeon at the hospital inserted a rod in his right leg and discharged him after few days. With another occasion, he met with an accident and this time got left leg fractured. He again went to the same hospital and operated by the same orthopedic surgeon. After about two years, he was complaining about the right leg surgery and a year later with left leg surgery.
He has filed a consumer complaint before the National Commission against the orthopedic surgeon and the hospital in which he had been operated. He claimed that the rod in his right leg got bent due to the medical negligence.
