A recent study published by the American researchers in a renowned journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology has determined the association between intrauterine devices (IUDs) and the risk of cervical cancer. This article provides an overview of the purpose of conducting this study and observations. IUDs are considered as one of the contraceptive mechanisms women may opt just after the delivery or in some months while breastfeeding. This is a small T-shaped device that is inserted into a woman's uterus.
