Low dose Aspirin Daily Versus Twice A Week Dose A 62 year old man has coronary bypass surgery with femoral vein grafting two years back. Patient is known diabetic, hypertensive with non - alcoholic hepatic steatosis. Platelets count is between 55, to 75 thousands. Patient has few episodes of bleeding in past.Apart from other medications, 150 mg Aspirin daily dose was prescribed for Secondary prophylaxis.
Patient is unable to tolerate despite taking PPIs,. But, he is taking aspirin prescribed dose as twice a week. What is your opinion about efficacy of twice a week dose of aspirin? Or if there is other alternative.
