The equivalence of DNB with M.S.and M.D.should be settled once for all. Though DNB started with an idea to provide specialists for treating patients rather than teaching. In medicine, we can't segregate teaching and treatment. Medicine is learnt with patients in the hospital.

Theory can be learnt anywhere. With so much shortage of faculty, I strongly feel that DNB should be made equivalent to M. D and M. S.
