Kawasaki disease (KD) is an acute inflammatory disease affecting children below 5 years of age causing systemic vasculitis with predilection for coronary arteries . Although the pathogenesis of KD is unknown, viral infections and genetic factors can trigger this disease. This article provides insights into the diagnosis and management of KD.
