In hospitals, preprinted consent forms are used before admission or before surgery in which only patient name and name of surgery, sometimes doctor's name is filled by paramedical staff. Doctor generally doesn't bother to know what is written in the consent.

What is the legal value of this consent? Is it legally necessary to take consent in the language which patient understands or not?
