I reach my charitable OPD and after examining one child, I look at another patient a 3 years old child accompanied by his mother and grandmother. A child is crying and does not want to enter the chamber. I am a little amused. But I wait for the attendants to tell me the problem with the child. Child refuses to sit in the lap of mother and starts crying - Save me, grandma! I wonder again to save from whom - from a doctor.
I start presuming probably child has been given repeated injections or vaccines by a doctor and hence sacred of going to a doctor. I request the grandmother to wait outside the chamber so that I can talk to the mother. “The child has lost his appetite and does not want to eat anything.
