The low-flow anesthesia technique provides protection of the heat and humidity of the respiratory system while minimizing the cost, and helps the ecosystem by preventing air pollution. It also helps in a better protection of the tracheobronchial environment by efficiently maintaining the mucociliary clearance compared to the high-flow anesthesia.
