Recently population bureau released a data about family planning worldwide. The data states that use of oral contraceptive (OC) pill in India increased from 1.2% in 1990 to 3.6% in 2015.

Although there is an increase in its use, the practice of using OC pills is much lower as compared to other countries. I n the light of above what can be the probable reasons for low use of OC pills in India?
