The Lok Sabha on June 2 unanimously passed the Indian Medical Council (Amendment) Bill, 2019 aimed at bringing in transparency, accountability and quality in the governance of medical education in the country, and for the supersession of Medical Council of India for a period of two years. Government has not passed National Medical Commission Bill as it's draft to be cleared by cabinet but has introduce bill to replace MCI for 02 yrs by so-called eminent Board of Governors who will follow Government direction in Toto as which new college will be provided recognition for UG, PG, SAph courses in govt or Pvt sector and where seats of these will be increased.
