I met a 70 years old  known diabetic patient who has worn socks and chappels having bleeding from one of his foot of which he was unaware.on my pointing out,he removed his socks. He was having typical diabetic foot features.Black skin of foot and leg, amputated big toe, and had injury on ventral aspect of finger. He said he is unaware because of loss of sensation.Has this patient taken appropriate precautions to protect foot ? What advice this patient further needs apart from proper diabetic control?
