The global incidence, prevalence, and mortality of pancreatic cancers have increased by 55%, 63%, and 53% during the last 25 years. In India, the incidence of pancreatic cancer is 0.5 – 2.4 per 100,000 men and 0.2 – 1.8 per 100,000 women. There exists a need for continued improvement in the diagnostic and therapeutic care of these patients.
