A Pune court has remanded the parents of a teen accused of fatally running over two people while driving a luxury car drunk on May 19. The teen’s mother allegedly swapped her blood sample with her son's to avoid a DUI charge, claiming she was told to do so by doctors at one of the hospitals in Pune. The teen’s father, is also in custody. Police are investigating multiple FIRs related to the accident, illegal alcohol service to the minor, and the wrongful confinement of a driver to take the blame. The teen, currently in an observation home, admitted to being drunk but could not recall the incident.
