MCI has surprisingly refused to take any action in the matter of Karnataka private medical colleges who are not paying the stipend for one-year internship to MBBS students. MCI is saying that “monitoring payment is outside our purview and respective governments should intervene”.

Isn’t it contrasting to MCI regulation itself which says that all resident doctors in government and private colleges shall be paid the monthly stipend? Source: The Hindu
