Drawing a parallel from the west, the MCI (with our government) enforced the requirement of earning of minimum 30 credit points over every 5 years, to keep a practicing doctor afloat, ostensibly to ensure updation of knowledge of the doctors. and to get the society to get the most updated line of treatment . Like most of our Govertment rules and schemes, this supposedly great step has led to one of the worst subversions of the system today for extortion of the practicing doctors by thez'so called " specialist lobbies in collusion with the corporated and Council bodies , who decide on the credit.

In the INEVITABILITY  of getting the MCI  credit points the doctors, e.g a family practitionser will register for a superspeciality conference in his town or near his town  and gets a certificate of attendance , may be he will attend the banquet dinner as he has afterall paid for it. …
