MCI has cancelled the registration of the Punjab Medical Council (PMC) President for allegedly furnishing false information to the MCI. His name has been removed from the MCI’s register for three years from 2017-2020. So, he would not be able to practice or take up any medical teaching assignment during this period. According to the reports, when the PMC president was the Principal of the Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Bathinda, he had allegedly submitted false information to the MCI inspection team.
He allegedly gave false information about a teacher, claiming that she was a full-time teacher of microbiology at the institute. But she was actually working at a private hospital in Ludhiana.
