With the vision to fill in the dearth of doctors in the country, Medical Council of India- Board of Governors (MCI-BOG) are willing to recognise the PG medical degrees received by MBBS doctors from Russia or abroad. Further, those doctors would have to clear the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) examination for recognition of their degrees. Considering the validity and risks associated with the proposal, the MCI-BOG official is sought to license only 10-15% highly-skilled and trained medical graduates to clear the MCI examination.
The decision enables such degree holders to secure jobs in different hospitals and medical colleges in India.
