Attendance in medical colleges is said to be crucial for both students and teaching faculty. On this line, recently, the MCI Board of Governors have ruled that regular attendance of all faculty members and doctors in medical colleges should be standardized and be subsequently uploaded under a designated section on their respective website. MCI Board of Governors has taken such a decision following the introduction of compulsory biometric attendance system in medical colleges and hospitals by the Telangana Health Department in order to track the unavailability of staff from the ensuing academic year.
