The teachers of the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in the college council meeting decided not to teach pharmacology to homeopathy students as they feel it is being forced on them by the state government. This is an indication of the growing opposition of the state government's decision to allow homeopaths to practice allopathy. Both medical colleges in city, GMCH and the Indira GandhiGovernment Medical College (IGGMC), were expected to start pharmacology classes from November this year for homeopathy students. But the teachers at the GMCH strongly opposed the idea in the meeting and decided against it unanimously.
